I’m a dedicated female sports fan who regularly follows five sports, and pays attention to about a half dozen more. Baseball is probably my favorite sport. I consider myself an “every pitch, every play” kind of girl.

I watch a lot of baseball. For example, the year the New York Yankees won their 27th World Series championship, I saw 162 games, plus the post-season. I was either at the game, or watched it on MLB Extra Innings.

I didn’t set out to watch 162 games that year; it was simply that the level of play was so good that I wanted to see the next game and the next.

Of course, I had to give up all kinds of activities and social events to see that much baseball in a single season. To me, it was worth the sacrifice to see all those moments of a championship season executed so beautifully. Baseball agreed with me – that year, the Yankees received multiple Silver Slugger and Gold Glove awards, in addition to their Commissioner Trophy.

I’m a baseball fan first, and then I have love for my teams, my home town Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees. When I get home at the end of the day, I’ll generally watch whoever is playing. Over the course of the baseball season, I will usually see all 30 teams play.

In addition to baseball, I follow hockey, NFL football, basketball, and stock car racing. I also enjoy New Zealand rugby, English football, surfing, swimming, and tennis.

I started this site so that I would have a place for the occasional essay and for all the photos of the sports events that I attend. Unless the photo is of me, or otherwise credited, all photos on this site were taken by me.
